      Stories for movies will not come from unknown places. Whatever may be the story, director moulds it, adds necessary attractions to it and makes it entertaining enough for audience to enjoy. If he does not add that new attractions, then the story fizzles out. Besides to that, if director is particular about his style and leaves all other elements, then it will be a problem. Audience will get frightened after watching the movie. Shadow being directed by Meher Ramesh after a disaster like ‘Shakti’, will fall in the same category. He should have diverted fraction of attention which he kept on stylish taking to story, screenplay and artistes performances. By ignoring changing trends and society, story has been filled with old time elements like relationships and sentiments. In crisp, its a story of son taking revenge on his father’s killers.

Iddarammayilatho movie HD theatrical trailer was released on the occasion of Allu Arjun's birthday on April 8, 2013.^[5] This is the next film of Allu Arjun with Puri Jagannadh after their successful venture Desamuduru. In September, Amala Paul was selected to play one of the female lead. First the makers chose Tapsee Pannu for the another role, which was later bagged by Richa Gangopadhyay.^[6] But Richa was officially replaced andTapsee Pannu was selected as the second female lead in the movie.^[7] Later, Catherine Tresa replaced her.^[8] Chakri was the initial choice for music director but Devi Sri Prasadwas roped in later.^[9] The film was officially launched on October 18, 2012 at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad.^[10] The film will go on floors from October 20, 2012.^[11] The regular shooting of this movie will begin in Australia from the first week of November.^[12] Movie First Look was launched on March 10, 2013 ^[13][14]

The film’s overseas rights were bagged by Blue Sky for a fancy offer of approximately  3 Crores.^[1] It would release worldwide on May 24, 2013.
